MY BACKGROUND
From Dance to Yoga: A Journey of Self-Discovery
My affinity for movement traces back to my childhood, where dance became my initial medium of expression. As I transitioned into adulthood, yoga became a natural progression—a means to delve deeper into self-reflection and inner peace. I'm deeply passionate about the transformative power of yoga, how it intertwines with music, movement, and emotion to create a profound sense of calm and balance. Each class I lead is not just a physical practice but a voyage of self-discovery, with an intention set to ignite personal growth and exploration.
Yoga Asana Education
With nearly a decade of experience in the art of yoga, I am a dedicated and innovative certified yoga therapist. My formal yoga journey began in 2014 when I embarked on my 200-hour training with Lifetime Fitness in Overland Park, KS, where I laid the foundation for my passion for holistic wellness. This initial training ignited a flame within me, propelling me to delve deeper into the transformative potential of yoga. Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga was the focus on my 200- hour training.
In 2017, I pursued advanced studies with a comprehensive 300-hour training in Therapeutics in Yoga in Kansas City, MO. This specialized training equipped me with the knowledge and skills to address the unique needs of individuals through yoga therapy, furthering my commitment to serving others on their wellness journey.
After relocating to the east coast, I was eager to expand my expertise and immerse myself in an 18-month, 800-hour Spanda Yoga Therapy training program. Graduating from this intensive immersion in January of 2024 was a life-changing experience, deepening my understanding of yoga therapy and enhancing my ability to facilitate healing and transformation for my clients.
My journey in yoga therapy has been a profound exploration of the mind, body, and spirit, and I am deeply passionate about sharing the profound benefits of yoga with others. Each step of my journey has been guided by a commitment to providing compassionate, personalized care, and I am dedicated to empowering individuals to cultivate balance, strength, and tranquility in their lives.

Ayurveda: The Science of Life
In addition to my yoga training, I immersed myself in the study of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, earning a master's degree from Maharishi International University. This comprehensive program deepened my understanding of holistic healing modalities, including Ayurvedic principles and their integration with modern wellness practices. During my studies, I delved into the ancient art of Nadi Vigyan, or pulse diagnosis, a cornerstone of Ayurvedic medicine. Mastering the art of interpreting subtle rhythms and patterns in the pulse enabled me to uncover profound insights into the inherent imbalances within the body, leading to the application of personalized practices specifically designed for each individual's unique constitution.

A Multifaceted Approach to Wellness
Throughout my career, I've delved into a diverse range of yoga disciplines, spanning from Vinyasa and Yin to Yoga for Sports Performance and Yoga for Autism and Special Needs. Whether it's Barre Fusion, Yoga Nidra, or Paddle Board Yoga, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to each session. With a keen focus on modifications, alignment, and the power of breath, I guide my students safely through their yoga journey, fostering a sense of balance, strength, and tranquility.

Empowering Minds and Bodies Through Meditation
Among my favorite classes to teach is one that seamlessly integrates meditation, allowing the body and mind to synchronize through the rhythm of breath. I believe in empowering individuals to connect with their inner selves, cultivating mindfulness and resilience in the face of life's challenges. Join me on this transformative journey, where each breath becomes a step towards self-awareness and well-being. Let's embark on a path of holistic healing and growth together.
